Corset - Renaissance Faire Part 3

In this six hour, three session advanced class, we will cover sewing curves, inserting boning, attaching bias tape, and applying grommets.

Required Skills:
Sew a straight line
Sew curves
Sew a reliably consistent seam allowance
Wind a bobbin
Tape together an a4 pattern

Required Materials:
Renaissance Corset Sewing Pattern
1 yard of linen, twill, corduroy, or silk brocade like pictured above
1 yard lining
1 yard fusible interfacing
3.5 yds 1.5" double fold bias tape
5 yards plastic boning
3.5 yards ridilene boning
38 size 0 grommets
10 yards ribbon

Sewing Machines:
We recommend you bring your home machine (if it's portable and in good working order), so we can teach you best practices on your own machine. However, if you're brand new to sewing, we have machines here for you to use!
