Fix-It Class
In this two session class, students will receive 2 hours of hands on instruction, while learning to fix mistakes in their knitting
Required Skills:
- Knit
- Purl
- Cast on
- Bind off
- Read the charts included for the homework
Required Supplies:
- 1 skein of lightly colored worsted weight yarn
- 24" US size 8 needle
- Fix-It Tool
- Stitch Markers
- Tapestry Needle
- Supplies available for purchase at the shop
Required Pre-work:
All swatches include errors either written in italics or highlighted in yellow.
Use the following symbol chart for swatches #3.
- Swatch #1
- Cast on 20 stitches.
- Work 4 rows in garter stitch.
- K2, p1, k7, p4, k to end. (inserting purposeful error)
- Work 3 rows in garter stitch.
- Put stitches on holder and set aside
- Swatch #2
- Cast on 20 stitches.
- Work 4 rows in stockinette.
- K4, p1, K to end. (inserting purposeful error)
- Work 3 rows in stockinette.
- Put stitches on holder and set aside.
- Swatch #3
- Cast on 20 stitches.
- Follow chart (take note that the highlighted section is purposefully out of pattern)
- Put stitches on holder and set aside
